The New York Beta chapter of Phi Kappa Psi is ranked among the finest Greek fraternity chapters in our nation. We have a group of brothers who excel in all aspects of life, setting high standards in academics, philanthropy, athletics, volunteer work, and especially leadership. It is a privilege to join the members of Phi Kappa Psi in these deeds.
In order to join a fraternity, a potential new member must first participate in the mandatory Rush process. At Syracuse University, the Spring Rush begins Sunday, February 14th. Each IFC-affiliated Greek fraternity participates in a Rush Kick-Off, marking the beginning of a week-long meeting and evaluation process that eventually determines who will receive bids to join a fraternity.
During Rush Week, fraternity brothers and potential new members have the opportunity to get to know one another in an effort to bond and find the best situation for everyone involved. Throughout the week, potential new members are led around chapter houses by brothers and become familiarized with the house and the brotherhood. Phi Kappa Psi’s rush week culminates in a celebratory event where bids are formally handed out. Bidding is an ongoing process until the end of Formal Rush, February 19th.
